I am a Partner within the business recovery and restructuring division at PKF Smith Cooper, with nearly 25 years’ experience. I deal with all aspects of both corporate and personal insolvency matters, ranging from voluntary arrangements to a more final solution such as liquidation or bankruptcy.
What can I do for your organisation?
I offer clear and direct advice on all aspects of restructuring, whilst being able to create and implement an appropriate strategy, with an initial focus of returning your position, or that of your company, to solvency. Where that is not possible, I will work with you to achieve the best outcome for all stakeholders, mitigating personal risk wherever possible.
Experience counts
Prior to joining PKF Smith Cooper in 2010, I worked for Deloitte, the largest private professional services organisation in the world. During my time there, I headed up their personal insolvency offering for the regions and gained valuable experience and knowledge that I now utilise in my role.
Since joining the business recovery and restructuring division at PKF Smith Cooper, I have worked across various sectors in the United Kingdom, from something as straightforward as assisting an individual in presenting their own bankruptcy petition, to trading a multi-site Not-for-Profit business in Administration with nearly 250 employees, to assisting in a shareholder dispute to avoid Administration and maintaining the viability of the Company whilst providing an exit route for dissenting shareholder.

I have experience in working in a variety of sectors and try to get under the skin of a business so that I can see the full picture before working closely with the existing management team to deliver the appropriate strategy to protect the interests of all stakeholders.
The personal skills I have gained through my experience in business recovery enable me to walk into any situation and immediately recognise the strains and difficulties that businesses and individuals are subject to. I then use those skills to ensure that we create a clear plan of action to protect stakeholder value and mitigate risk.
Personally speaking
I am very into my music, having for a time worked freelance for a music magazine. I like to attend as many gigs and festivals as possible and have travelled all over the UK and Europe seeing different bands. I am also very interested in sports in general, but primarily football and golf. As well as this, I enjoy travelling, and my ideal holiday would be a week in a snow-covered New York!
