I manage the corporate tax compliance process to ensure that our clients receive a high-quality and efficient service. I work closely with the audit and business services teams, as well as specialists across the tax department, to make the compliance cycle as smooth as possible.
Experience counts
Having started my career at a railway consultancy, I soon realised that accountancy was the path for me and I joined a midlands-based practice, studying for the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification.
I worked there for almost six years, gaining experience in accounts and audit before deciding to specialise in tax. As well as AAT, I also completed the ICAEW ACA exams to become a Chartered Accountant and the CIOT Chartered Tax Advisor qualification.
I joined PKF Smith Cooper in 2018 as an assistant manager, and was promoted to manager in January 2020.
Deeper knowledge
A background in accountancy, along with a degree in business management, has given me a well-rounded view of how companies operate. I’ve worked with a broad range of clients and enjoy getting to know how each business works to ensure our advice is relevant and practical.
Personally speaking
Outside of work I enjoy holidays and catching up with friends. I’m also renovating a house, so working on improving my DIY skills!
