Hello
I am an assistant manager capital allowances consultant based in the Nottingham office, but you will find me in Derby and Birmingham.
What can I do for your organisation?
I can assist a company or individual in maximising the capital allowances that are available on their commercial property, helping to reduce taxable profits and keep more money in the business for future investments. This can be when you are looking to buy or sell, build, extend, fit out, refurbish or look at historical expenditure in relation to commercial property.
Experience counts
I have been working in capital allowances for over 10 years, having spent a large chunk of time in the Big 4, I’ve also worked in the Top 10 and a boutique firm. This experience has seen me work across a wide range of projects ranging from a small medical facility (vets/dentist/doctors), a ski lodge in Canada and cost estimation exercises for two hotels in Germany.
Deeper knowledge
My degree is in quantity surveying, giving me the ability to quantify and cost construction works, along with gaining a deeper understanding into construction technology.
I’ve worked on a wide range of property, producing claims for offices, hotels and leisure properties, industrial and manufacturing sites and sports stadia. I have also completed a number of Land Remediation Relief claims, mainly for housing developers.
Personally speaking
I enjoy reading, watching sport (being a Northampton Town fan) and listening to music, of which I would say I have an eclectic taste. My wife is Japanese which influences all three of those. Be it reading books by Natsuo Kirino, going to watch Chunichi Dragons in the baseball or listening to some Japanese Math Rock or 80s J-Pop. We have a young son, who’s name in Kanji translates to “Music” and “Science of the Universe”.
