We are delighted to welcome new editions to our Employment Tax and VAT team, continuing the expansion of our specialist tax departments.
Kate Donlon, Employment Tax Manager based in the firm’s Derby office, the firm after spending the first four and a half years at a big four firm in the East Midlands. Kate has previously specialised in employment tax governance for clients who fell within the Senior Accounting Officer regime and has also had exposure to a wide range of employment tax matters including off-payroll working, PAYE Settlement Agreements and expenses.
Lucy Brooks also joins our Derby office as Assistant Indirect Tax Manager, primarily working with businesses in the manufacturing, transport and logistics and eCommerce sectors. Lucy began her career as a graduate in 2019 and currently specialises in overseas businesses trading in the UK, varying from sole traders to large corporations. She has extensive experience working with clients through HMRC compliance checks and advising on the tax implications of contracts specifically relating to import terms.
The hires continue the expansion of oue specialist tax teams with the addition of Employment Tax Senior Manager Megan Jones in January and our Indirect Tax team welcoming a graduate in the next month.
