My career, which spans 36 years, is built on advising distressed and underperforming owner-managed businesses in the SME market.
I assist businesses and individuals who are experiencing difficulties in uncertain markets where margins are tight.
Experience counts
Throughout my career, I have progressed through many roles within restructuring, building a repertoire of skills and experience. I passed my JIEB in 2008, qualifying as an insolvency practitioner. For the past 15 months, I have taken appointments in my own boutique restructuring practice, as well as at PKF Smith Cooper, who I joined in 2017.
Deeper knowledge
I have extensive experience in undertaking independent business reviews for stakeholders as well as working on trading assignments.
Personally speaking
I am married to Catherine, a retired Head of Languages in a secondary school, where she taught French and German. We are the proud parents of a very special 40kg dog. I enjoy trips to the beaches and the pubs in Cornwall, and hope to one day relocate there. I also enjoy clay pigeon shooting, surfing, power boating, sea fishing, pool, swimming, theatre and paddle boarding, DIY challenges and dining out as often as possible. I particularly enjoy Thai and Indian food – the hotter the better!
