Since joining PKF Smith Cooper in 2012, I have worked with a range of clients in Derby and Nottingham, from small owner-managed businesses to companies with a turnover in excess of £100 million. I also work with a number of academies in the East Midlands, managing their internal audits.
Deeper knowledge
I graduated with a first-class degree in Economics and Accountancy from Loughborough University before training as a chartered accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. As an Audit Manager there, I managed a portfolio of key regional audit clients as well as large teams of staff. I also spent a year as the training manager for new graduates within the firm’s Midlands region. After a career break to look after my young children, I returned to work as an Audit Manager with PKF Smith Cooper in 2012.
Personally speaking
Outside of work, I enjoy family bike rides, eating out with my husband and friends, and supporting my two sons in their various sporting activities – assisting with football coaching and also administration at the local cricket club – as well as being head chauffeur!
