Helping young Derbyshire athletes make it to the world stage

The Derbyshire Institute of Sport (DIS), an organisation intent on getting more budding athletes from Derbyshire to compete at major sporting events, has joined forces with local accountants and business advisors Smith Cooper, announcing a sponsorship agreement.

Established in 2012, the DIS have a phenomenal track record of nurturing local sporting talent, supporting over 150 athletes on bespoke sporting programmes, 31 of which have been in the last year.

Many athletes who have been through the DIS programme have gone on to compete at World Class level, including professional tennis player Jay Clarke.
