We’re delighted to announce that we have been named in the Accountancy Daily’s Top 75 survey as one of the UK’s leading firm of accountants.

Coming in at 48th position, Smith Cooper’s fee income hit £15million for the year to 31st March 2018, up 15% from the year previous, whilst combined revenues in the top 75 soared to a record breaking £15.75bn in the same year.

Despite a challenging year, this year’s annual Accountancy Daily Top 75 Firms survey, compiled from data submitted by the top firms in the UK, found that revenues amongst the UK’s top 75 Accountancy firms soared to a record breaking £15.75bn in 2018, representing the ninth year of consecutive growth for the sector. The Big Four dominate the top of the leader board, who’s revenues climbed an average of 5.5% in 2018. Together they possess 77% of the market share.

Headquartered in Derby, with offices in 6 localities across the Midlands, we have gone from strength to strength in the last 12 months, announcing record revenue figures and winning several industry accolades, notably SME Advisory Team of the Year in both the East and West Midlands, SME deal of the year and Regional Insolvency Team of the Year.

In recent weeks, Experian’s United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland M&A Review placed Smith Cooper 8th in the region in the “financial adviser” category – a jump from last year’s 9th place.

James Bagley, Managing Partner at Smith Cooper comments “We have worked hard to create an organisation synonymous with trustworthy and proactive advice throughout the professional community and amongst our client base.”

“We pride ourselves on the range of services we offer when compared to other firms of the same size and believe the success of these is evident in our official figures, as well as industry rankings such as this one.”
