Our annual charity golf day has raised vital funds for our charity of the year, Sands. A total of 22 businesses from across the Midlands came together to support the pregnancy and baby loss charity saving babies’ lives and supporting bereaved families across the UK.
The golf day is one of many fundraising efforts we have organised to raise money for Sands over the year. Alongside golfers from the firm, guests from Flint Bishop, Virgin Money, NatWest, Nelsons, PIB Insurance Brokers, Select Car Leasing, Gleeds, Boolers, Seven Restaurant, Freeths and FHP Property attended the event. Embark Federation were crowned champions of the tournament, taking a way a golf bag each.
PKF Smith Cooper has raised funds for Sands throughout the year, with team memberstaking part in various events including the Robin Hood Half Marathon and Derby 10km.
Dean Nelson, Business Recovery and Restructuring Partner, who leads on organising the event annually, commented: “Thank you to all who attended our annual charity golf day this year, it was great to see 22 teams competing to come together for an excellent charity. The care Sands provides personally supports bereaved families across the UK, and it was great to raise £2,000 for such an honourable cause.”
