I am an employment tax manager based in our Derby office, supporting a range of clients across all offices with their employment tax affairs.
What can I do for your organisation?
Alongside managing the employment tax compliance including PAYE Settlement Agreements (PSAs) for our clients, I work closely with companies to ensure that they understand and meet their obligations in relation to all employment tax matters. I also support businesses in understanding their obligations when working with external contractors, advising on both employment status of workers and IR35, implementing policies and processes in this regard. I enjoy supporting businesses with all areas of employment tax and introducing the necessary and appropriate controls to mitigate their employment tax risk.
Experience counts
I started my career in employment tax with a top 10 accountancy firm, gaining my CTA qualification in 2019. I worked within professional services for five years, supporting different UK and multinational businesses with their UK employment tax and global mobility before gaining practical experience working in-house. More recently, I spent two years as an employment tax manager within a fast-growing UK e-commerce business managing the company’s global employment tax affairs, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with the company’s group tax strategy, effectively managing tax risks. I joined PKF Smith Cooper in June 2023, bringing both my technical knowledge and in-house experience to further support our clients with their employment tax matters.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with a range of clients varying in both size and sector, supporting them with their global mobility programs and domestic UK employment tax affairs.
My previous role working in-house has provided me with valuable skills in relation to implementing internal processes and utilising technology, such as finance and HR systems, to improve employment tax governance and compliance.
Personally speaking
Outside of work, you’ll likely find me either at my local CrossFit gym or enjoying a long dog walk with my husband and Cockapoo. I’m also a big foodie and love visiting restaurants with my family and friends.
