Hello
I’m Beckie, an Audit Manager based in our Derby Office. I joined PKF Smith Cooper in September 2018 to begin my career in audit.
As Manager I am responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, as well as supporting our senior managers by preparing audit work on high risk and complex audits.
What can I do for your organisation?
I am here to help ensure that our team delivers a high quality, fully compliant audit as efficiently as possible.
I spend time getting to know each of my clients, thoroughly understanding their systems, controls, and business environment. This ensures that I can tailor our audit process to meet the individual needs of each client.
I am readily available to offer advice and support to our audit clients where needed.
Experience counts
I graduated from Newcastle University in 2013 with a Masters degree in Mathematics, specialising in applied maths.
Before joining PKF Smith Cooper, I gained 3 years invaluable experience working in the recruitment industry in the payroll and compliance sector. Subject to strict compliance audits, the role gave me first-hand experience of audits from a client perspective.
Since joining PKF Smith Cooper as an apprentice, I have studied for the ACA qualification and qualified as a chartered accountant whilst simultaneously gaining experience across a wide range of industries.
Deeper knowledge
During my time at PKF Smith Cooper, I have worked with a variety of clients across multiple sectors, including construction, professional services, and hospitality.
I have worked closely with a number of not-for-profit organisations and am experienced with the audit of charity accounts.
I have also had exposure to non-statutory engagements including Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Personally speaking
Outside of work I am a big foodie, ranging from fine dining restaurants to a dominos takeaway on a Saturday night. I enjoy anything true crime related, be it podcasts, books or a Netflix documentary.
