PKF Smith Cooper supports Brookbanks in securing private equity investment from CBPE

Deal type: Other

PKF Smith Cooper has supported Brookbanks, a multidisciplinary development and infrastructure consultancy, in securing investment from private equity firm CBPE following a competitive transaction process.

PKF Smith Cooper provided vendor assistance and financial modelling services to Brookbanks, working alongside lead corporate finance advisers KPMG, due diligence providers PwC, and legal advisers Freeths.

The firm was approached by Managing Director Andrew Thorley and Chair Paul Boileau, having previously supported Brookbanks on several strategic transactions, including its acquisition of Reuby & Stagg.

PKF Smith Cooper’s Transaction and Advisory Services team worked closely with management to develop a comprehensive financial databook and integrated forecast model. The materials were designed to provide prospective investors with clear, robust financial information, supporting an efficient transaction process while enabling management to remain focused on day-to-day operations.

The dynamic financial model presented consolidated results across seven legal entities within the Brookbanks group and provided detailed insight into divisional performance, key value drivers and sector-specific performance metrics. The databook and forecast model was complemented by PwC’s vendor due diligence report.

Tom Sinden, Transaction and Advisory Services Director at PKF Smith Cooper, commented:

“We are delighted to have supported Andrew, Paul and the wider Brookbanks team during this important transaction. Having worked with the business on several previous strategic projects, we had a strong understanding of its operations, growth strategy and value drivers, enabling us to develop clear, high-quality financial materials to support investor evaluation and facilitate an efficient process. We wish the team every success as they embark on the next stage of their growth journey with CBPE.”
