PKF Smith Cooper celebrates senior promotions

The firm brings in the new year with an impressive cohort of promotions, including senior promotions across multiple service lines.

The Corporate Tax team celebrates notable promotions across the firm’s offices, with Adam Zaman promoted to Corporate Tax Director and Matt Doherty and Nick Skidmore to Senior Corporate Tax Managers respectively. Adam, Matt and Nick joined the firm in 2024 and have all made a great impact within their teams. 

The Business Recovery and Restructuring team are also celebrating, with the promotion of Kieran Marshall to Senior Manager and Keith Wilson to Manager. Further notable promotions at PKF Smith Cooper include Joe Anderson, who has been promoted to Corporate Finance Manager, Deniss Sipovics to Senior Transaction and Advisory Services Manager, Tony Chamberlain to Senior VAT and Indirect Taxes Manager and Lee Arrowsmith to Senior Audit Manager. 

The Audit department also celebrates the promotions of Tom Ainsworth and Georgie Atherton to Manager, as well as six promotions to Assistant Manager, with all team members both training and qualifying at PKF Smith Cooper. 

Over the past year, the firm has received wide recognition for its success, with 12 award nominations across the Midlands for the firm and the exceptional individuals who have excelled in their roles. The firm took home Accountancy Employer of the Year at the West Midlands Business Hero Awards and were finalists at the Insider Midlands Dealmakers Awards for Corporate Finance Team of the Year and Dealmaker of the Year.

The Business Services and Audit departments also celebrated outstanding individuals this year at the NCASS Awards, with Elsie Walsh taking home the John Ross Sergeant Memorial Prize and Matt Laurenti winning the ICAEW 2024/25 Howitt Prize.
